You can make your meatballs using different ingredients and spices to suit your flavor profile. But don’t skip out in these ingredients; breadcrumbs & eggs.

The breadcrumbs help soak up the sauce and keep the meatballs moist and juicy. This recipe is easy and is so so delicious. You just have to try it!

  • Tomatoes

  • Onions

  • Bread crumbs

  • Parsley

  • Thyme

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic

  • Oregano

  • Egg

  • Fresh cream

  • Olive oil.

Cooking and Preparation

  1. To make your meatballs; add mince, garlic, onions, breadcrumbs, thyme, oregano, parsley and 1 egg. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until incorporated.

  2. Roll out your mince in the palm of your hand to make a nice ball. The size is dependent on you!

  3. On medium heat, heat oil in a pan.

  4. Gently add your meatballs in one at a time. Don’t over crowd the pan!

  5. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side. This will give that nice crust.

  6. Add your meatballs to a baking dish. Make sure you scrape off all the crust and juices from the pan.

  7. Once meatballs are browned, blend your tomatoes, onions and garlic. Add cream to give it that thick and smooth consistency.

  8. Season your sauce with salt, pepper and parsley.

  9. Pour your sauce over the meatballs and bake for about 30 minutes.

  10. Remove from the oven and season with parsley and black pepper.

  11. Serve with garlic bread, pasta or jacket potatoes.

Enjoy!
