CREAMY CAULIFLOWER CASSEROLE

High in Fiber and Vitamin-B, Cauliflower provides antioxidants that help protect against cancer. This precious vegetable and it’s high fiber content helps enhance weight loss and digestion. It is also essential for learning and memory.

Vegetables such as Cauliflower have been found to lower the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and various other diseases. Vegetables are an important part of our diet. People usually shy away from vegetables because they’re “boring” but they don’t have to be. Try out this recipe for a not so boring vegetable dish!


Ingredients

  • Cauliflower

  • Assorted cheese

    • Cheddar

    • Mozzarella

    • Edam

  • Flour

  • Milk

  • Fresh Cream

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic


Cooking & Preparation

  1. Wash and chop up your cauliflower.

  2. Boil your cauliflower in salt water for 2 minutes. Make sure your water is already boiling before you put your cauliflower.

  3. Add one clove of garlic (chopped).

  4. Remove your cauliflower and drain them using a colander or strainer. Set aside.

  5. Grate your cheese and set aside.

  6. On medium heat bring milk and fresh cream to a light boil and stir.

  7. Slowly add in your flour (1 Tbsp) whilst continually stirring. If it’s too thick add more milk.

  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  9. Add your cheese and stir until it’s melted.

  10. Once cheese melts remove from the stove.

  11. Add cauliflower to your baking dish cover with cheese sauce.

  12. Garnish with herbs and bake until the cheese sauce is golden on top and a crust starts to form on the sides.

  13. Enjoy!

  • This recipe doesn’t have any measurements because it is dependent on how much cauliflower you want and how much cheese sauce you would like. HAVE FUN WITH IT.
