RUSTIC CHICKEN POT PIE

Nothing says Easter like a good old fashioned pie.

Ingredients
Carrots
Potatoes
Onions
Green beans
Flour
Thyme
Sage
Rosemary
Chicken broth
Black pepper
Garlic
Salt
Chicken
Butter
Puff pastry
Eggs
Cooking and preparation
Melt the butter in a pan then add your chicken. Make sure your chicken is cut in cubes or strips.
Season with sage, Rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
Once your chicken is cooked remove it from the pan.
Add butter to the same pan and add in all the diced veggies, except the green beans.
Sauté until softened.
Add in the flour and toast for a few minutes.
Add your chicken broth and stir.
Once the broth thickens, add in the cooked chicken, cream, and green beans.
Preheat oven to 200•C
Roll your puff pastry and cut it to fill the shape of your oven safe dish.
Place the cut out puff pastry inside the dish and spoon in the chicken filling in.
Top with another layer of puff pastry and use a fork or your fingers to seal the edges.
Brush the puff pastry with egg wash then cut two small slits in the center.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
