Shakshuka is a Mediterranean dish that originated from North African but is also common in various parts of the Middle East.


Its traditionally a breakfast/brunch dish with a lot of flavor that Everyone needs to try at least once in their life.


INGREDIENTS

  • Olive oil

  • Eggs

  • Onions

  • Garlic

  • Baby Plum tomatoes

  • Black pepper

  • Salt

  • Feta

  • Parsley

  • Crushed tomatoes

  • Coriander

  • Tomato sauce

  • Paprika


COOKING AND PREPARATION

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.

  2. Once oil is hot add onion and garlic and cook until tender, 1 to 2 minutes

  3. Pour in your crushed tomatoes and some tomato sauce and some water.

  4. Add coriander, paprika and black pepper.

  5. Make small holes so that the eggs can stay in once place.

  6. Gently crack eggs into skillet over the holes you made.

  7. Season eggs with salt and pepper.

  8. Add feta and baby plum tomatoes.

  9. Cover with a lid for about 2 minutes.

  10. Remove from the stove and enjoy.
