GARLIC & HERB BUTTER FILLET

Ingredients

  • Beef Fillet steak

  • Garlic

  • Thyme

  • Oregano

  • Parsley

  • Butter

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Olive oil

Cooking & Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven at 180 •C

  2. Wash your beef fillet and remove all excess fat and silver parts.

  3. Pat it dry with a paper towel. In a medium bowl add 4tbsp of butter, 4 garlic cloves (minced), 1tbspn of thyme, 1tbspn of oregano, 1tspn of salt and pepper. Mix well and make a paste.

  4. Add salt to your bare fillet. Season well.

  5. Add your garlic and herb butter onto the top of your fillet, coat the entire top of the fillet.

  6. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the baking tray and Place the fillet onto the tray then cover with foil.

  7. Cook at 230 •C for 20 minutes then uncover.

  8. Once uncovered, cook for another 20-30 minutes depending on how well you love your meat!

  9. Let your meat rest under foil for about 5-10 minutes so that all the juices remain in the meat.

  10. Served well with potatoes or mixed veggie!
