LEMON LOAF

Ingredients

  • Lemon

  • Butter

  • Sugar

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • All-purpose

  • Baking powder

  • Salt

  • Vanilla essence

Measurements

  • 1/2 cup of butter (soft)

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs (beaten)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 flour

  • 1tspn baking powder

  • 1/2tspn salt

  • 1 cup lemon juice

  • 2tspns lemon zest

  • 1tspn vanilla essence

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 180•C

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add butter and sugar.

  3. To the same bowl add eggs and milk. Whisk.

  4. In a separate bowl add your dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt.

  5. Add your dry ingredients to your wet bowl (batter) and whisk until smooth.

  6. Add your lemon juice and lemon zest.

  7. Add vanilla essence.

  8. Mix everything until smooth.

  9. Grease your loaf tray with softened butter and add your mixed batter.

  10. Place in the oven and cook for 60 minutes at 180•C
